Going back home

After a fun filled week vacation with Grandma and Grandpa Frahm... they met me in Casper (or I met them - whichever way you look at it) and we got back on the plane and headed back to Vegas and home again.

Michael and Haleigh's big adventure!

H: I caught my first fish! But it was only this big so Grandma made me throw it back!H: I was cooking, and I got to flip one!H: The fins were gross but the fish was yummy!M: Wasn't the best fish I ever had, but I was hungry

H: There was A LOT of butterflys. I only caught one, but then it got away

H: Us having spaghettiM: I only liked the cake, not the peaches.
H: DUMP CAKE! I didn't really like it because it had a lot of peaches.
H: Putting flowers in Grandpa's hatM: NICE shower!
H: Grandpa taking a showerM: I caught 3 fish.
H: Going Fishing!M: What a big sink.

M: Grandpa taught me how to fly fish. M: I don't like this pole, I like the other one better.M: I almost got a bullseye!
H: This is Grandpa telling us what to do with our new bbguns he got us! They were cool but I think I missed every single one. M: I think I'm a better shot than Grandpa. I WAS! I hit more stuff than him.
M: So glad we left this!
H: SNOW! On the way back. It was gonna rain and snow at night so we had to go back to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
M: It was GOOOOOD!
H: Grandma made us waffles the 2nd day at her house, the 1st day she made us my favorite thing. (French toast) m:I love grandpa's train!

Puddles!

It FINALLY rained at our house on Saturday evening. I missed it. I was coming back from Hurricane from TARA, my neighbor girl's bridal shower. She's getting married this weekend... so more on that later. When I got home it was really nice outside so we BBQ'd some burgers (Jen showed up just in time to throw one on for her too) and Miss Mya got to splash in the puddles on the patio! She LOVED it! Couldn't resist this picture of Jen, it's just funny.

M & H first airplane ride

Michael and Haleigh were invited to go camping for a week with Grandma and Grandpa Frahm in Wyoming. Since we had just been there I was not going to drive back all that way... So we flew them up on Allegiant Air. It's totally cheap out of Vegas. So we drove down and through the terrible traffic and Jen dropped us off and we hurried in and through security and got to our gate and they were loading! Both kids were holding onto my arms pretty tight when we took off! :) But then they enjoyed looking out the window and watching the clouds. Next thing we knew we were breathing in that fresh mountain air again and hugging Grandma! Casper airport has 3 gates... all in the same room. So we visited for a little bit and waited for the lady to bring me my return flight boarding pass and I got back on and headed back to Vegas. We flew right back over St. George and all I could think was "stop, I'll get out here". We were to give my neighbor Channing a ride back to St. George after she got in from N.Y. at midnight (Vegas time... which is 1am our time) and I already knew her flight would be late. So I got some food and got comfortable on the floor in front of her gate and set my alarm for 1am (Vegas time... 2am our time) and woke up and checked the ticker to find that her gate was moved... luckily only 3 more down the terminal. So I waited and out she came, called Jen and she picked us up and we drove home and crawled in bed about 4:15 am! :) Then of course Mya was up at 6 and Daniel up at 7 to help scouts with flags and then I had to go at 9 to the 24th party to paint faces. Luckily I caught up on sleep all afternoon!
Surely Michael and Haleigh are having the time of their lives camping, fishing, 4 wheeling, bbgun shooting and who knows what else! Look forward to their blog post when they get home this next week!

Wyoming Fashion Crisis

I love blog posts of random things that people are lucky enough to capture for their blog. Real life stuff, like the clowns driving by Jen. I'm going to try and do more of it.

So I know this could happen anywhere... but I can pretty much guarantee that it would not happen at a hospital charity event in St. George.
I couldn't resist taking this girl's fashion oops picture while at the Hospital ice cream social while we were in Worland. (I have blurred her face because I'm sure I'd be surprised who checks my blog and undoubtedly due to the population of Worland or even Wyoming for that matter SOMEONE is sure to know her and give me crap) Surely she tried to find a stapless bra somewhere in town but one could not be found. And we all know what it's like when we have a new shirt we're DIEING to wear. Bless her heart for wearing it REGARDLESS. The thing that gets me is that she didn't at least wear a black one.

Just to be fair I guess, I used to wear long underwear under shorts and a t-shirt. Feel free to comment your silliest fashions.

Mya's 1st pigtails!!

Is it HOT enough for ya?

Had to do something on saturday... and didn't want to drive anywhere far enough to get out of the heat... so the best thing if you're gonna be outside is to get wet. So we headed for the Washington Community Center, the kids can't wait to take their cousins next month when they come for Haleigh's baptism! So bring your suits!!

While in Wyoming...

When we found out Leigh was going to be in Wyoming we made plans to be there for sure! She lives in Maui and had baby Kaela in October. We'll just HAVE to go see them in Hawaii, too!
Left St. George Thursday the 2nd to stay in Draper and attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house on Friday. After seeing the Temple and eating at The Training Table and shopping at Nordstrom rack... we headed North and stopped in Lander. We were hungry and holding out for the Breadboard! As we pulled up their sign said they were closed, but we saw a gal outside in back and she said we could come in and they'd make us some sandwiches! We took our delectible dinner out to the pasture at Dr. Bills and met with Grandma and Grandpa Frahm, Great Grandma Frahm, and Great Aunt Gretchen to watch the freedom festival. So GREAT! This is Red Canyon just before you hit Lander coming down from South Pass.

Saturday we tried to sleep in because we got to Worland and to bed about 2am. Grandma and Gretchen came up and Grandma Hansen came down for the day from Lovell and we had a bbq and hung out all day. It was nice and RELAXING. We took Grandpa's stunt kite over to the High School fields to fly it and Haleigh started chasing a Robin and it pooped on her!!! Then we bought fireworks and went to Great Aunt Shanna's to do out own and enjoy the other fireworks in the basin. Sunday we went to church and saw all our friends there including some that we also home visiting. Mya even went to nursery! Spent the rest of the afternoon eating spagehtti with Grandma and Gretchen and visiting some more until they had to go home. Michael and Haleigh had a sleep over with Brennan and Kasey. Monday we went up to Meeteetsee with Grandpa and hung out with all his buddies up there who some I hadn't seen since I was probably Michael's age! It was SO nice in the mountains. Tuesday we went out to Banjo Beach at Drake Lake! :) and met Kaela and went swimming and visited with Leigh and my friend Jenny and her kids.
On Wednesday we got up and moving and picked up Kasey and Brennan and headed to Lovell to see Grandma. We played at the park for awhile with our friends who we miss since they've moved back up from St. George. Then we drove over and got Aunt Jeanette for our annual China Garden Feast! Mmmmm. It was SO good! We had a good visit with aunt Jeanette and got to catch up on all her pictures of Brad who's finishing up in Louisiana and Kyle in Colombia on their missions. Brad comes home next month already!! We stopped for a minute in Byron, Wyoming to snap a picture of the new statue of my Great-Great-Great Grandpa Bryon Sessions. Also drove by my Great Grandparents Orlo and Savanna Sessions house where I remember going to visit. We can't go to Grandma Frahm's and not have Taco's!
Thursday we quite literally bummed around. Julie didn't do anything until 5pm. I got a slow start but then visited with my oldest friend Heidi and we took our kids to lunch at the Brass Plum (another yummy) And Mya and I dropped in at Daniel's aunt Sharon's to visit her for a minute. That evening was the 37th annual ice cream social at the hospital to raise money for the auxillary. It's really not a big event, but we grew up always going so it was another little piece of hometown nostalgia!Friday we took Leigh and Sid on a tour of the Pepsi plant and had lunch at Taco Johns for the 3rd or 4th time of the week. Then the kids had another sleep over with Kasey and Brennan.Saturday I got up and mowed the lawn and started making salads for the Luau that Shanna was having out at Banjo Beach & Drake Lake in honor of Leigh and Sid being home from Hawaii. I also got a much needed nap. Grandma Frahm picked us some fresh peas and carrots out of their garden at Great Grandma Christensen's to take home with us! Their garden really humbled me about ours. The Luau was alot of fun. Got to see my cousins Chris and wife Janell and Ramie and Michelle. Aunt Robyn and Uncle Alan came up from Denver and Robyn even danced the Huki Lau with Haleigh so she wouldn't be too nervous doing it by herself! Thanks Baba! The kids swam and played games in the yard and everyone ate WAY too much food and roasted s'mores! Wish EVERYONE could have been there. Grandma and her girlsGreat Grandma Christensn with her newest Greats!
