2008 Games

Just wanted to mention what I loved about the Olympics this year... we really caught the bug at our house. First of all... I want to be 41 and look 1/2 as good as Dara Torres and still swimming. Second...way to go gymnastics girls, had to include this picture with Alisha in there, sure she choked when it counted, but she was there! Tie breaker thing sucked for Nastia, but it's not called gym'nice'tics. And so glad Shawn got the gold on beam. She can stick it! Bolt was incredible... You go Mon! And aren't you just in love with Michael Phelps? What a good kid. Now... for the first time in 2 weeks... I'm going to bed before mid-night!

First Feeding

Mya's been waking up hungry during the 5 o'clock hour. That's in the A.M.! I don't even consider getting up to run til 7! So we decided maybe we need to fill her up with a little something with more substance. Here's her first baby cereal feeding.

Pack 489

I'm the cubmaster for Michael's little cubscout pack. (also the new webelos leader...because I like to multi-task) We had our pack meeting up in Pine Valley on Saturday in combination with our ward picnic. We had an Arrow of Light ceremony (which is whatever cool thing I can come up with to advance a boy from cubscouts to "big" scouts) and so I put together this volcano and used the whole mento's and diet coke concoction to get it to erupt. The boy in the brown shirt, Kyler is who was advancing and I had Michael hold the yard stick to see if the volcano would reach the top and if it did he would advance. It worked out pretty snazzy... as you can see.

FABULOUS FEET!

So Jen comes out tonight and tells me that Andrea is the coolest and that we have to do our toes! I can't believe it! I have wanted to do my toes again since I had Mya, but I just don't have time! So tonight while we watched a movie and the kids were playing and the baby was sleeping in the walls of my own home on MY schedule and for cheap... we did our toes. I had to quote Phyllis Neffler... "FABULOUS!" Thanks Andrea, and those Tipsy Top girls with the cute blog who she got the idea from... now I can have cute toes again. Which is a good thing, since my feet are the only thing I don't feel like are fat right now! :)
