Wyoming 2011 part II

This sculpture is outside the museum and the Earth spins on a fountain of water. Mya ran up to it and threw her arms around it and said, "I hugged my planet!"
 Another scence from the park
The view of what they call Needle Rock from the Lodge at Trapper Creek just outside Shell, Wy. Daniel was taking me there for our anniversary, he called and left a message needing a reservation for Wed. and everything... but when we got out there they were closed. Guess who called him back the next Tues. after we got back to St. George? :) It was absolutely beautiful out there though so it was worth the drive. We just went back to Greybull and ate at Lisa's.
Michael wanted to have a baseball game for his birthday so we went to Sargent park with Grandma and Grandpa and Kasey and Brennan and played a fun game. This is Mya not wanting to actually touch home plate...

Here's Grandpa running the bases after hitting a HOME RUN! (into the canal)

Mya got a little batting pratice in the dugout!
Colleen stopped by with her Aunt and Uncle from Nebraska on their way to Shell to spread her Grandfather's ashes. They just happen to be related to us too! (On the Sessions side) We had a little visit and a spaghetti dinner. So glad Colleen could stop and get a visual of where the Frahmettes grew up.
On Saturday Daniel and John's family and Brad and Kyle and Eric and Jared all went out paintballing in Greybull. Michael and Haleigh and I had had enough paintballing back in August to last us at LEAST a year... so we opted for 4-wheeling with Grandpa.

And the day before that Michael and Haleigh and Daniel went out shooting with Grandpa!

And here's Grandpa getting one last cuddle in before we got up and took off for home.

Haleigh's last 4th grade book project

Haleigh's last book project of the year was to make a cake representing the book that she read. Can you tell what book she read?
James and the Giant Peach

Take me out to the ball game...

Last night was Haleigh's last softball game of the season and tonight will be Michael's last game. After we get back from our week in Wyoming he'll probabaly get to play with the All-Stars, but as far as the regular season this is it. So ends an era of baseball at the Bloomington fields, for us.

IM 2011

I was a little nervous about IMSG 2011 being kinda super prego and everything, but there was NO WAY I was giving up my position!! Luckily it all worked out super awesome, again! I kinda had to hang back this year, but I was able to do LOTS pre-race and on race day I was surprised at how much I was able to do, and then sit down and put my feet up until something else came up. It helped that I had 2 guys just helping with my people because they are first timer captains and needed some experience before their first upcoming races. Pat from TexasIM and Brett from Vegas where they'll have 2 championship races. Which I hope to go down and check those out and maybe lend him a hand.
Jen became a captain over bike aid station #1 and Julie was able to get on with the IM staff and get her internship completed for her degree! So we were ALL involved!
Jimmy even made it down after work to help out my team and catch his friend Jesse!
Colleen and McKenna and Tara and Travis joined me and helped out with several tasks.
This is a group that came down from SLC area and a bunch of them were on my team last year. They were some last minuters that I wrote in and then I figured out that they had been there the year before and was super excited to have people with EXPERIENCE!!
Michael got into it and did some "catching" with Aaron from our ward.
Mya and Dad ran the books for me! :)
And Haleigh was our super mylar blanket ripper! And just enjoyed following me around to all the VIP places.

Weekend stuff

The 2011 St. George Ironman is coming up next week and since my activity day girls got a kick out of stuffing bags for the Marathon back in October I thought that doing it again for IM would be a good activity. So we combined with the older girls and everyone who could make it on a Sat. morning came and we had donuts at our house and then headed down there for a good hour + and they loved it again.

Then Julie and I packed up and headed out for our Daddy/Daughter weekend in Vegas with Dad. We picked him up at the airport and then met Jen and Fam at In&Out and checked in at PH and then headed down to the Saraha so they (Ju & Dad) could ride the roller coaster SPEED: The Ride. The warning sign said something about wearing a strap with your glasses and since we've experienced Dad without his glasses and figured he'd need to see for the rest of the weekend we jimmy-rigged my headphones around his glasses to hold them to his head! :)

After the ride and a little shopping and people watching we got dressed for dinner at Del Friscos. Very yummy and fancy steak house on Paradise. It was good and the ambiance was nice, until two tables of 8= 16 drunken testosterone joined our area. But they soon received their food and quieted down. :)

We got to celebrate Jen's birthday a little too. At the end of the night... we decided we liked Lawrys better.
The next day we slept in and headed to Ceasar's because I wanted to eat at Chocolate by the bald man. It was SO good. I need to go back at least 5 more times because there were so many things on the menu that I want to try. Can't remember what was so funny, but here's dad with his chocolate crepe, served with a beaker of hot fudge, sliced oranges, and a scoop of icecream. MMMmmmm.
And Julie's BLT with waffle cut fries dusted with coco! Also VERY yummy!
Jen and I both had a smoothy. Very yummy and served with a metal straw to keep it cold all the way to your mouth! I just had a smoothy because the real reason I wanted to go there was this:
Icecream popcicle with chocolate fondue, hazelnuts, and waffer balls. Double dip your heart out baby!!

Then Dad had to go check in for his conference so we hit the mac counter at Nordstroms and the girls did some more shopping while I mostly sat with my feet up and people watched, and called mom. :)

We were bound and determined to spend some time at the pool, even though it was only 73 degrees. So we headed out and sat and visited and relaxed for awhile before our PF Chang dinner. (That's where we were when we heard they got Bin Laden- for future reference) Then Jimmy met up with us and Julie drove us home. Jen stayed to go to Mystere with Dad Monday night.
Thanks for a fun weekend Dad! Now that we've had our R&R it's time to gear up for IMSG 2011!
