Between sessions

After the morning session of conference this morning I decided to record the specials inbetween to watch later and enjoy some time with the TV off! So out came Charlie's Angles and a little laughter from Jaida. We have a video of Mya losing a nerf battle to Michael too, but we don't want to post such detrimental displays. :) It was still a ton of fun.

2011 St George Marathon

After our 3:15am wake up call (actually we just set our alarms) we got up and headed out. I drove the "3rd Uhaul" out and Julie drove my car with the girls. Only Jaida stayed asleep. Haleigh and Mya didn't want to miss anything! At the starting line with mom...

About 5800 people standing around waiting to run 26.2 miles. All these people and only 13 learned the flash mob dance and were actually dancing!! Kinda a bummer, oh well.

Someone said something crazy to Julie and she didn't get it. I swore I would remember what it was and was going to put it with this picture, but stuff that happens at 4am doesn't sink real deep into my rememberer.

Daniel, Michael, and Troop 489 came out again. They used it as a camp out and a service project all in one. Gotta love two birds with one stoners...Peter, Daniel, Kyler, Karson, James, Ethan, Austin, Michael, Channing, and Aaron.

I went home about 11:00 and fed Jaida and got some stuff done while Daniel and Michael finished putting stuff away from their campout. Michael mowed the lawn. And I was gonna go back to the park at 1:00... but I dosed off... so I figured I'd go back about 2... plenty of time I thought since last year we started loading everything up to take left bags and clothes over the rec center about 3. Well at 2:15 the bags were at the rec center and the athlete recovery area was TOTALLY empty and the finish line area was well on it's way to being torn down. So Haleigh and I helped sort what bags there were in the gym and then headed to the store on our way home. The end. :)

Good Weekend

So this weekend DID go by too fast. But it was a good one. We started off with a little bit of a pool party at Jen & Jimmy's Friday night PATIENTLY waiting for the arrival of G&G. Saturday was a special day... J&J were sealed, it was nice. Daniel and I left at the last possible minute after I fed Jaida and then when we got to the Temple 1/2 of the parking lot is being refinished in concrete to keep the Temple cleaner from the blacktop... which makes for not nearly enough parking at the moment, especially on a Saturday morning when EVERYONE is at the Temple. Anyway... Daniel likes to comb the parking lot anyway and we did NOT have time for it. So we finally parked 1/2 way down the stake center's parking lot across the street and luckily I had brought my flip flops so we could walk at a somewhat speedy pace. We went in and I saw our group all going upstairs to I threw on my dress (literally) and headed out and didn't see Daniel but 2 men grabbed me and said, "are you Jamaica?" Yep, that's me. So I got upstairs and was the last person in the room... before Daniel. :) Then we could start. But glad we could make it. :) Then we went to a Mexican resturant for lunch and changed clothes and went to Costco for icecream and then us older girls went to the general RS meeting and then out to Kortney's to get the pictures that she took at the Temple.
THEN... Sunday morning Daniel blessed Jaida. First time I've made it to church on time since she was born... now I have no more excuses. ;) Home for a little spaghetti lunch and some bb gun shooting. Then the Sevy's and the Wood's came over for dutch oven beans & potatos, G&G's teryaki burgers etc. Of course we all ate too much and topped it off with peach pie and home made icecream. Now I'm updating the blog and going to bed. :)



Big Weekend

 I know this weekend is going to go too fast. But it's going to be a good one. Finally (finally meaning: everyone got their act together enough to get the paperwork done etc) Jen & Jimmy will be sealed to eachother for all eternity. So Grandma and Grandpa Frahm are on their way down for that, and we decided to take the opportunity to bless Jaida too.
